Abhijeet Muzumdar

Abhijeet is the Senior Investment Advisor for the Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund and also the Corporate Development practice at Amazon. He joined Amazon in 2014 and has been a venture investor for over 14 years. Over the years at Amazon, Abhijeet has made investments across consumer internet, transportation, fintech, Software, direct to consumer brands and eCommerce. Prior to Amazon, Abhijeet worked with Bessemer Venture Partners and focused on consumer internet and financial services. At Bessemer, Abhijeet made the first institutional investment in Home First Finance Company, which went IPO in 2021 and Bharat Matrimony which went IPO in 2018-19. Prior to Bessemer, Abhijeet worked in the investment banking divisions of Edelweiss at Mumbai and UBS Paine Webber at New York. Abhijeet holds a Bachelors in Commerce & Economics degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and an MBA from Adelphi University, New York.

Ronak Sandil

Ronak joined the team in June 2017 and has worked in Investment Banking, Corporate Development and Venture Capital domains for 14 years. At Amazon, he has concluded investments in food & grocery, consumer tech, DTC brands. Before Amazon, he was a venture investor at Times Internet and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. He has facilitated over $2Bn in M&A and invested over $700m across technology & internet, consumer products, retail, education, telecom, healthcare/pharmaceuticals and hospitality. He has been a representative on the boards of portfolio companies including Cricbuzz, Haptik, dineout, Willow.TV, MyraMeds, Witzig (holding company of More Retail) and MyGlamm.

Ronak holds an MBA from NMIMS and Bachelors in Economics from St Xavier’s College.

Preetham N

Preetham joined the team in May 2015. While at Amazon, he has led several investments including Acko, Capital Float, M1xchange, and smallcase. Prior to Amazon he has worked as an investor (Nirvana Ventures), an investment banker (Avendus Capital), and an algorithms developer (Siemens). He also holds a US patent for his work at Siemens.

Preetham holds a Post Graduate Diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

Karthik Srinivasan

Karthik joined the team in July 2021 after working in the Private Equity industry for 13 years. Over this period, he worked with Standard Chartered Private Equity and Actis. He has been involved in 12 transactions across the financial services, chemicals, pharma, food and infrastructure sectors, investing over US$380m. In his most recent role with Actis, he played a key part in its investment in an SME focused secured lending Non-Banking Finance Company (Profectus Capital). He was also appointed by the investors on the Boards of portfolio companies including Profectus Capital, Symbiotec Pharmalab and AGS Transact Technologies.Karthik holds a Post Graduate Diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Masters and Bachelors in Technology from the India Institute of Technology, Madras

Mayank Nandwani

Mayank joined the team in 2021. He has 6+ years of experience in Private Equity and Investment Banking focusing on growth and late-stage investments in Technology and Consumer sectors across India and UK/Europe. He has previously worked at Faering Capital, Avendus Capital and Goldman Sachs, covering areas like E-commerce, Digital Media & Gaming, Payments, Logistics-tech and Software. Mayank holds an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi and a Bachelors in Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.

Deepankur Malhotra

Deepankur joined the team in January 2022 after working in Private Equity and Investment Banking industry for ~10 years. During this period, he worked with Olympus Capital and Tata Opportunities Fund focusing on investments in Financial Services, Healthcare, Media, Technology and Consumer space. Before Private Equity, Deepankur worked in the investment banking divisions of J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse in India.

Deepankur holds a Post Graduate Diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a Bachelors in Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Asmita Mittal

Asmita joined the team in March 2022 and has about a decade of Private Equity experience with Malaysian SWF Khazanah Nasional. Over this period, she has looked at mid-late stage growth equity deals across infrastructure, healthcare, consumer, financial services and technology sectors and was involved in 7 transactions investing over US$350m. Asmita holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and is a CFA charterholder.

Neeraj Datta

Neeraj is the Corp Dev Finance lead for Amazon India. He has a background in investing and product finance and has spent the last 5 years in Seattle with various teams across Amazon. Most recently Neeraj was part of Amazon Devices as a Product Finance Manager leading projects such as Alexa Smarthome monetization, Amazon Luna Gaming and FireTV Edition products. Before joining Amazon, Neeraj worked as a senior analyst with IDFC in Mumbai conducting research on FMCG and consumer businesses. Neeraj started his career as a quantitative analyst with Goldman Sachs Asset Management in Mumbai. Neeraj has grown up in Mumbai but spent nearly a decade in the US and the UK. He has an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, an MSc from University of Warwick and completed his undergrad at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai.

Ruchi Somaiya

Ruchi comes with 11 years of rich work experience across marketing, strategy and consulting domains. She started her career at Nestle India in sales, promoting nutrition products to healthcare professionals. She then moved to media industry, joining Disney India (moving to Disney+ Hotstar subsequently), where as part of the subscription business unit, she managed marketing and partnerships for B2B and B2C verticals. In her last assignment before joining Amazon, she was at Deloitte Consulting, where she worked with Technology-Media-Telecom (TMT) clients on customer-centric transformational strategies

Vilas Shinde

Vilas joined the team in Nov 2022. He has experience in M&A, Strategy, and Analytics. He has evaluated deals across different sectors such as Logistics, Apparel, Beauty and Personal Care, Luggage, Electric Vehicles, Media and Entertainment, etc. He has previously worked at American Express and Allcargo Logistics Ltd.

Vilas did his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Bachelors in Technology from the College of Engineering Pune.
